Hi Mark, would appreciate your opinion as doctors in the hospital here were unable to give me any, they were more interested in how a 40yr women couldn't possibly have PD. Currently on Sinment CR 50/200 4xday, Requip 1mg 3xday & Citalopram 10mg 1xday. Was prescribed Doxycycline100mg 1xday for a sinus infection, which I took 1on first night and forgot to take night dose of Requip & Sinemet. Following morning took all meds, including Doxy... and thinking nothing of it also took Amizide for PMT fluid retention (usually taken once every 2/3 months). Within 30 mins was feeling bit sickly. by 60 mins had total body contorsion, and difficulty breathing, unable to move or open eyes. My body released after 2-3hrs but had cramps for some time after. Several days later am still experiencing chest and throat tightness, cramps in hands neck and feet beyond the norm, and fatigue. Do you think this a case of silly women mixing wrong meds, or possibly a reaction between Doxy... and PD meds?

there is not an interaction with those meds. Have you ever taken doxycycline before? With the tightness in the chest and throat, it sounds more like an allergic reaction to the doxycycline. When this reaction starts histamines are released which can affect the rest of the body. I'd could cause the other muscles to react and your pd meds not to work. Make sure you let the dr know about the reaction so you can stay away from that class of medication. Best of health, Mark
