I am 53yrs old just started Sinemet. Was taking coQ10 (ubiquinol) for 2 years, about 900mg a day. Became very expense. So far I am having a good experience with Sinemet. Would still like to take the COQ10 - how much can I take along with the Sinemet and is it safe?

Thanks,

opera,

I have seen provigil and the stimulants (Ritalin, adderall, etc) used more in pd than procrit. The issue is two fold. It is much easier for pd patients to take a tablet than an injection. The second part is the cost. Procrit is very expensive compared to procrit.
as far as provigil. It works very well to help combat the fatigue and spontaneous drowsiness due to certain pd medications. The main thing to remember is that the last dose should not be taken any later than 3 or 4 pm. This medication has a long half life and can cause insomnia if taken to late.

Kred,
I would rwcomend to start low and go slow. Maybe start at 100 to 300 mg. Do this for a couple of weeks and increase by 100 mg every 2 weeks if needed until relief. I will tell you that you will news to separate the CoQ from the other medicatioons by about 2 hours. They could bind together and all medications to not be absorbed.

Best of health,

Mark
