I asked this on the main board but figured thiss might be a better place...

My doctor says I have an underactive thyroid. He wants to put me on Synthyroid. I read it could interfere with Sinemet, which I do not yet take. I am on 1 mg Azilect 1x/day and 2 mg Requip 3x/day

What should I be on the lookout for?

the thyroid medication could possibly bind to the sinemet and pass through your system with neither medication being absorbed. What younwould want to do is separate the medications by at least 2 hours. This will help avoid this problem.
also make sure that you separate any protein from your sinemet by a couple of hours also. The same interaction can occur and your sinemet will not be absorbed.

Best of health,

Mark
