it has MOT been seen that the ansrhesia worsens the condition. It has been shown that when people stop taking their medication because they are having a colonoscopy the condition worsens. I don't want to say it won't have any effect, by the chances are very slim. Make sure you check with your doctor as to what medication they want you to stop taking and which ones are ok to continue for the procedure. Best of health
