I used to take Hyzaar and then switched to just hydrochlorothiazide because of big drops in blood pressure. I was on about 1200 mg of combined generic sinemet and Sinemet CR. I now take 2 tabs of Tasmar a day and have reduced my combined Sinemet intake to about 800 mg. a day. My blood pressure has soared. Would this be an opportunity to try Isradipine? or go back to Hyzaar? My pcp is unfamiliar with Isradipine. Will Isradipine protect my heart and other cardiac problms that Hyzaar is supposed to do? I also take nortryptiline, zolpidem tartrate, clonazepam and silver centrum, caltrate D-plus, Vit. C. I wonder if I should be taking Co-Q10? Do you take it?
