Mark: I just wanted to thank you for your "medication schedule" (<--- available right over there). After 14 years, I cannot usually remember what day or date it is, or what I had for breakfast, let alone what time it was when I last took meds. There is no longer anything remotely noteworthy or unique about taking a pill...I could hiccup, and have the pill shoot out my nose, but a few minutes later I probably would NOT remember what time it was when it occured, or whether I took THAT pill, or a replacement. I have tried counting out my meds in the morning, (big) pill cases with the day marked, even ones with alarms; nothing works for me like your schedule. I keep a printout of it (two-sided) in my pocket, with the meds I'm on typed in in Excel so they can be read, and starting with the first med of the day, I mark the time in the corresponding cell with a checkmark with a line through it and circled (accounting notation for "vouched"), then I mark the rest of the day at the intended intervals with checkmarks, and when I DO take a med, I need only to put a line through the checkmark & circle it, or mark down the actual time (and subsequent) if it varies for what ever reason. It didn't take long to have it become automatic - maybe it's those colors (green, peach, yellow and purple)...but it has helped me enormously. Also - when your neuro wants you to try a new med, or a new dosage, there's room to jot down notes (like "off", "too on", etc.) And you can record your "take as needed" meds. My doc was impressed! Thanks again.
