Glutathione is a compound involved in one of the body's most important antioxidant systems. However, glutathione itself is not absorbed intact very efficiently. One of the best ways to increase glutathione levels is to provide the building blocks and precursors needed to manufacture it within the body. N-acteyl L-cysteine (NAC) is an effective precursor to glutathione and more efficiently raises levels in the body than taking glutathione itself. A product I've found to be highly bioavailable is called the Essentials from Usana Health Sciences and it has NAC in it. You can check out this website www.revivinghealth.usana.com; feel free to leave any comments and questions.

qwik, with many of the supplements out, we need to depend on the manufacturer or representatives of those companies to tell us their findings. many times the findings a not substantiated due to the lack of clinical trials or research. I recommend that you contact a certified nutritionalist in you are for the answer. Every hospital has one on staff. Find out what hospital your dr. is affiliated with and seek out the one on staff from that hospital. best of health, mark

i do believe in taking antioxidants for everyone. to rid our bodies of free redicals or "bad substances" that can harm our cells and body only makes sense to me and, best of all, it has been seen in many cases. best of health, mark
