The generic medication is the same strength and same medication as the brand name, it has to be by law. Where the products may differ is in the filler(the product used to hold the tablet together). If the tablet is pressed to tight it may delay release and if too loose it may cause it to release to quickly. I, personally, always opt for the generic.
