I'm just wondering what lifts your spirits when you are 'running on empty'? I'm open to some new ideas. EMD

Hi EMD... As some of you may or may not know, I am Administrator of a community center in inner-city Cleveland, Ohio. I have my Master's Degree in Social Administration. The center I work at is faith-based. What lifts my spirits is my faith, which is grounded in Scripture. Reading verses that encourage me is one of the few things that is guaranteed to lift me up and give me renewed perspective. If anyone wants some good verses/passages, let me know! The other thing that lifts my spirits is all of you. This message board has been a wonderful outlet and I'm so glad to know each of you special people! Blessings, Mihai

Friends first. Also, connecting (not commiserating) with others going through the same thing. And yes, Yoga!

EMD, Talking to someone. Friends, family, and others with PD. For me, reading helps too or going out to a movie. And last but not least, doing spiritual stuff. I'll let you decide that one yourself because I really do not want to preach nor offend. John Noland

"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:" there is a time to watch Saving Private Ryan, and a time to watch Dumb and Dumber; there is a time to sing Amazing Grace, and a time to sing along to some Weird Al Yankovic; there is a time to eat fruits n' veggies, and a time to scarf down half a dozen donuts; there is a time to grieve over what has been lost, and there is a time for new dreams & goals. There is never a time to stay locked into "what should have been," but there is always time for a friend who says, "Do you have a moment?"
